“Capture the Moment” is the theme for National Assisted Living Week – September 9 – 15, 2018

 

Heathwood Assisted Living is joining the weeklong celebration in Penfield and Williamsville.

 

National Assisted Living Week (NALW) was created by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995 to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. For more information on National Assisted Living Week, visit www.nalw.org

 

The theme, “Capture the Moment” is focusing on residents families and our care staff. Inspiring residents and to seize the day! Many adults 65 and older battles isolation and loneliness as they age. The residents of Heathwood Assisted Living appreciate the active and caring environment as they continue to lead fulfilling lives.

 

Heathwood Assisted Living at Penfield is celebrating NALW in a big way by marking opening day with a concert and a Classic Car Cruise-In on Monday, September 10. The Josie Waverly Band will entertain us at 7:00 PM with her classic and current country music hits! Remember to bring your lawn chair!

 

Heathwood Assisted Living at Penfield continues the concert series all month long. All the concerts and events will raise funds for the2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 20th. Heathwood is proud to support this year’s walk with a Team and as a corporate sponsor. Click here to visit our team page and support our staff and residents!

 


 

 

The other concerts in the series include:

 

 ·  Monday, September 17, 7pm Junkyardfieldtrip - one of the region’s mostin-demand, eclectic bands, nominated by City Newspaper’s Best of Rochesteraward for best band.

 

 ·  Monday, September 24, 7pm – Josh Shapiro – aHeathwood favorite and budding recording star will entertain and delight.

 

All are welcome! Remember to bring your lawn chairs and helpus raise funds for the RochesterWalk to End Alzheimer’s !
