Celebrating Staff Achievements at 2021 Gold Club Dinner

On June 29, 2021,Heathwood Assisted Living & Memory Care staff from Penfield and Williamsville locations joined together for the Gold Club Dinner at Park County Club in Williamsville, NY to commemorate employee achievements and dedication. This year marks 43 years since Heathwood welcomed its’ first residents! The Gold Club celebrates staff who have been with the company greater than five years and recognizes excellence in performance. This year’s dinner had double the celebrations, honoring those who earned awards in both 2020 and 2021!

This year our Gold Club boasts 57 members ! Of the 57 members who worked five years or more, 33 of them are at the Williamsville location, 16 at Penfield, and eight at CCNY. We are thrilled to have such longevity in our staff, who form the backbone of excellence and experienced, compassionate care that we provide our loved ones!

Newly-inducted in to the Gold Club this year are 24 honorees—12 from Penfield and 12 from Williamsville. Also noteworthy, this year marks the first 10-yearanniversary for a Penfield employee —now that is cause for celebration! Please join us in recognizing our dedicated team of new honorees:

In addition to honoring our longstanding staff, we had the privilege of recognizing our Service Excellence Award winners, nine from years past and announced two new recipients. The Service Excellence Award honors one employee annually (must be with the organization 10 years or more), who daily embodies the core values of teamwork, reverence for the individual, integrity and a passion for excellence. Della Sawyer from Williamsville (2020) and Rhonda King from Penfield (2021) were our 50th and 51strecipients!

Della , a Home Health Aide, is very dependable and always willing to pitch in and help—rumor has it she may actually live at the facility she is here so often! We have had the privilege of having her working with us at our Williamsville location for nearly 34 years and look forward to working with her for many more years to come!!

Rhonda, formerly in our nursing department and now our new Assistant Case Manager, is also extremely reliable, consistent and lends an extra hand wherever needed. Her genteel, uplifting manner with our residents inspires usall to be a ray of sunshine in each other’s day. She was one of our first employees hired at Penfield and reached her 10-year anniversary last year!
