In the five months since Covid-19 effected local impact, changing the way adult care communities serve and care for our senior residents, much has been accomplished to illuminate the path to proactive, responsive safety protocols. During this time, staff has diligently outlined a plan for return to visitation, albeit on a limited, structured basis, in accordance with New York State Department of Health Guidelines.
Our residents and families of Heathwood communities in both Penfield and Williamsville inspired us these past several months with their creative, heart-warming ways of staying connected in meaningful ways amidst the evolving times. Now that the counties of both of our senior living communities are well underway into Phase 4, here is what you need to know about Heathwood Assisted Living and Memory Care’s requirements for reopened visitation, which will commence Monday, July 20th .
· Visitation will be limited to 30 minute sessions , two visitors during one time slot. The available time slots are: 10 am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, or 7pm daily, including weekends . We cannot exceed 12 visitors per day in each of our communities, and we thank you for your understanding during this time!
· To request a visitation time, please call (716)688-0111 for our Williamsville community ; (585) 425-9663 for our Penfield community .Visitors will be scheduled into time slots on a first-come, first-serve basis.
· Each facility will have a designated Inside and Outside location.
· Visitors will be screened (questions and temperature checks, including questions on recent travel) prior to entry into the facility for signs of Covid-19, and can be denied entry if exhibiting symptoms.
· One of two visitors must be 18 years or older. No one under the age of 16 can visit at this time.
· Visitors must wear a face covering at all times. If you do not have one, you will be provide done. Residents will also be wearing suitable PPE. Food and Beverages will be prohibited in the designated location so all parties can adhere to the face covering mandate.
· We ask that all visitors comply with established hand hygiene practices using available alcohol-based hand sanitizer, as well as heed all social distancing protocols .
· Staff will monitor, clean and disinfect visitation areas after each visit using EPA-approved disinfectant.
